Kinedyne’s general-purpose Utility Straps are made from 1-inch wide tightly weaved polyester webbing and are available with either Ratchet or Cam Buckle hardware. Several end fittings are available, including Wire Hooks, D-Rings, ...
and Vinyl Coated S Hooks, to help you with a variety of different tie down applications that require our kind of strength and durability. These Utility Straps are packaged in a retail friendly bag and header card format.
These Straps are designed for both trucking industry securements as well as non-commercial recreational tie down jobs. Are those loose cans rolling around in the back of your truck causing an annoying ruckus? Need to bundle up some wooden planks for easier transport? Want to get your 4-wheeler to the dirt path quickly? Having difficulty hearing the radio with your toolboxes constantly knocking into each other? Did you just buy a new sofa for your apartment and you need to get it back there in one piece?
Our Utility Straps are engineered with flexible polyester webbing to give them the versatility needed to easily wrap around smaller cargo for more accurate security. One inch is all you need to experience the kind of industrial high-tensile strength our webbing has. This web easily wraps around your cargo in a snug fit and holds it down with a viselike grip.
This is the ideal tie down strap for both truckers and anyone who want to secure their recreational vehicles. We don’t just call these our general-purpose Utility Straps because it has a nice ring to it. Our Straps are designed for nearly anything that needs a quick and secure tie down that doesn’t require the overkill strength of a Ratchet Strap or Winch Strap. All of our straps are tagged with their working load limit along with the manufacturer’s name and logo written in both English and French in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, North American Cargo Securement (NACS) standards, California Highway Patrol (CHP) standards, Web Sling & Tie Down Association (WSTDA) standards, and Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) guidelines.

Utility Strap End Fittings
With our selection of End Fittings for our Utility Straps, you will be able to find the right fit for your vehicle’s anchor points. We offer three types of Wire Hooks: Heavy-Duty Narrow Wire Hooks, Wire Hooks with Floating D-Rings, and U Hooks. Each of these hooks offers incredible and reliable strength and is engineered to provide optimal security.
The Heavy-Duty Narrow Wire Hooks are best used with narrower anchor points that regularly sized hooks struggle to squeeze into. Sometimes bulky hooks aren’t the right pick for the job. Instead, these hooks are engineered with strength and flexibility to help make the job a bit more versatile.
By combining the flexibility of our Wire Hooks with the strength of our D-Rings, we created a durable and reliable End Fitting that offers even more security for your tie down job. Versatility and reliability go hand-in-hand with our Wire Hook with Floating D-Ring combination. This allows you to hook the Wire Hook Utility Strap back to itself by using the Floating D-Ring for extra security. Both are manufactured from heat-treated carbon steel for a durable hold over your cargo.
A bit smaller than our standard Wire Hooks, our U Hook has a much slenderer shape that’s ideal for the smaller tie down jobs. Despite its size, this hook is engineered for high-strength cargo securement jobs as it offers a strong and reliable connection to the anchor points.
Besides our Wire Hooks, we have Utility Straps that are equipped with Vinyl Coated S Hooks that allow for easier securement to nearly any anchor point or D-Ring. What makes our S Hooks stand out among the rest is the fact that they are Vinyl Coated. This means that they are less likely to mar the surface of your cargo, whether its equipment, glass, or, most importantly, your brand-new recreational vehicle that just got a fresh paint job. Our S Hooks help protect the cargo from abrasion while still exhibiting Kinedyne-strength.
Utility Strap Tensioning Devices
We offer most of our Utility Straps with our wide handle Ratchet for a more comfortable grip, but we have also equipped our Vinyl Coated S Hook Utility Strap with a standard handle Ratchet. Whichever you choose, our Ratchets are engineered from heat-treated carbon steel for enhanced strength. User-friendly and adaptable, the Ratchets help attain maximum tensioning quickly for a reliable tie down job. These are what you use whenever you have a heavy-duty tie down job that requires superior tensile strength.
For lighter heavy-duty jobs, we offer a Utility Strap that’s equipped with one of our heat-treated carbon steel Cam Buckles. Very easy to operate, all you need to do is thread the webbing through the Cam Buckle, pull the webbing to the desired tension, the release the cam so that it clamps down onto the webbing, firmly holding it in place for a reliable securement job. Typically, Cam Buckles are best to be used with smaller tie down jobs since those don’t generally need a lot of securement force. Cam Buckles also help prevent the risk of overtensioning.
