Doug Apelt Appointed President of Kinedyne LLC

Planned leadership succession positions Kinedyne for continued growth and long-term success

Prattville, Alabama — September 21, 2026 — Kinedyne LLC (the “Company”) is a renowned manufacturer specializing in cargo securement and engineered solutions for a variety of industry sectors, including heavy-duty cargo securement systems for military, government, and aerospace applications under its Kinedyne Defend™ brand. As part of its continued focus on long-term growth and organizational strength, Kinedyne today announced that Doug Apelt, currently Vice President- Operations, will assume the role of President effective November 1, 2026. Apelt will succeed Dan Schlotterbeck, who has led Kinedyne for more than a decade.

Apelt joined Kinedyne in 2018 and has since taken on increasing responsibilities across the Company. As Vice President - Operations, he has helped advance operational excellence, develop talent, execute key initiatives and strengthen collaboration across Kinedyne’s North American operations. He has also contributed to the Company’s acquisition evaluations and broader initiatives across The HEICO Companies’ Applied Solutions Group. Prior to joining Kinedyne, Apelt held positions of increasing responsibility spanning service in the U.S. Army and large, diversified industrial companies.

Schlotterbeck has served as Kinedyne’s President for more than a decade and was the Company’s first president from outside its founding family. During his tenure, Kinedyne strengthened its market position, advanced key operational and commercial initiatives, invested in talent development and created career opportunities throughout the Company. Kinedyne also achieved numerous years of record financial performance and established a strong platform for continued success.

The leadership change is part of a deliberate succession plan intended to provide continuity across the business. Apelt and Schlotterbeck will work closely together throughout the transition to maintain momentum and ensure an orderly transfer of responsibilities. Schlotterbeck will then transition to a new leadership role within The HEICO Companies’ Applied Solutions Group, supporting initiatives across the Cargo Solutions Segment.

Under Apelt’s direction, Kinedyne will remain focused on adding value for its customers, developing its employees, executing its business plan, and advancing initiatives that support its long-term objectives.
