Cover your corners

Cover your Corners!

Kinedyne is in your corner, with a range of corner and web protectors designed to defend your cargo and your tie-down straps against damage. They’re invaluable for securing cargo with less chance of damaging it.

Corner and web protectors help guard against the high cost of damaged cargo. Kinedyne’s corner protectors, tie-down protectors, and strap protectors offer protection with shapes and sizes that fit various situations to help keep straps from damaging cargo and, likewise, to help keep cargo from impacting straps.

A tie-down protector range this wide provides flexibility in determining exactly where the most protection is needed along webbing straps. Available in different sizes, corner protectors are constructed of plastic, high-density polyethylene, and steel, as well as nylon, Velcro, and rubber. These options allow for different applications and fitments, including longer and extremely durable VeeBoards. Based on their construction, corner protectors can be used with webbing, cable, chain, or with all three as well as with tarps.

Corner Protector Materials

Plastic is the most common and economical option, but may become brittle with age and use. Plastic may be used with any 2" to 4" webbing as well as with chains and tarps.

High-density polyethylene is a step up from plastic, providing crack-resistant durability to last longer even under the harshest conditions.

Steel delivers strength so it is ideal for use with cable and chain, yet it can be used with straps as well. Steel will not bend or break, preventing cables or chains from piercing the corner protector and damaging cargo. There’s also a rubber-coated option for steel corner protectors that protect high-end steel products, such as stainless steel sheets.

Nylon, Velcro, and rubber corner protectors are adjustable to move anywhere added protection is needed on a webbing strap.

Each corner protector features a corner recess to protect cargo edges from getting scratched or marred by the tie-down assembly. If you’re dealing with heavy-duty cargo, they will protect the tie-down assembly from being cut or becoming frayed from the cargo’s sharp edges. An added benefit is that Kinedyne’s highly durable VeeBoards can be conveniently stacked and stored when not in use.

Kinedyne’s strap protector line is manufactured to provide different ways to increase webbing protection in the face of rough-edged cargo. Web protectors offer a more flexible method of guarding a tie-down strap from unnecessary abrasive damage. Velcro sleeves let you quickly attach efficient protection anywhere on the strap. Nylon sleeves are easy to use and come in pre-cut 12" or 24" lengths or in a 300-ft length that can be cut to fit the desired length. Rubber sleeves function as a strong buffer between the strap and the cargo, protecting both from each other. Each of these tie-down protectors has its own purpose, allowing you to decide which ones best suit your cargo.

Corners Come in All Sizes

Corner protectors come in a range of sizes for the job at hand. The smallest, 3.75 inches, is primarily used to protect webbing. An 11-inch protector is used for cargo that’s "harder" and won’t bend or break, like crates and wood.

Longer protectors in 24-, 36-, and 48-inch sizes, are meant for securing more fragile cargo that can bend and break, including drywall and rigid foam installation. Even larger corner protectors make safe work of securing rougher cargo like bricks, delivering more protection by preventing straps from fraying or cutting. Kinedyne also offers tarp guard corner protectors, to protect a tarp from cargo that pushes sharp corners and edges into the tarp.

Make sure all your corners are snug and tight without breaking straps or cutting into cargo by deploying Kinedyne’s full range of corner protectors and webbing protectors.
