Ratchet Buckle Instructions

Operating our Ratchet Buckles is a very straightforward process that provides a tightly held down cargo in no time. To tension the strap, pull the webbing through the reel bars to eliminate any slack. Operate the handle back and forth until the webbing is properly tensioned. Reel bars must have at least two wraps of webbing to ensure no slippage. In the case of our Wrench Drive Ratchet Buckles, they require the use of a socket or wrench.

Releasing the tensioned strap is even easier. Pull the handle pawl back and rotate the handle over the center to a fully open position. Then slide the webbing out.

1" Ratchet Buckles

For smaller tie down jobs that still require our kind of reliable strength, we have our 1" Ratchet Buckles ready for you. These buckles work flawlessly with our 1-inch wide webbing to provide a secure method of tightening down your important load. We have two types of 1" Ratchet Buckles that each achieve a securely tied down load easily.

1" Standard Handle Ratchet

Our 1" Standard Handle Ratchet is engineered to provide easy operation for secure tie downs in no time. Although designed for the smaller kind of tie down jobs, this buckle is constructed to provide optimal strength.

1" Wide Handle Ratchet

The 1" Wide Handle Ratchet offers a wider handle that lets you wrap your fingers around it for a more comfortable grip. This allows for easier leverage when tensioning the load. The size of the Ratchet also allows for more versatile handling.

1.75" Wrench Drive Ratchet

What makes our 1.75" Wrench Drive Ratchet different from the rest is the fact that it requires a wrench or socket to properly tension the load. Using the wrench to operate our Ratchet is very simple and offers accurate tensioning quickly. This Ratchet is also equipped with Lift-to-Release action in which you simply lift up the handle to release the strap’s tension.

1.75" Hook End Ratchet

Our 1.75" Hook End Ratchet works great in situations where your tie down point is in close quarters. Ratchet than forcing a full tie down assembly into the strict space, this buckle can be used in place of a Ratchet Strap’s Fixed End. The built-in hook moves up and down for easy anchoring and provides a strong hold as the Ratchet tensions the load.

1.75" Hook End with Keeper Ratchet

Functioning similarly to our 1.75" Hook End Ratchet, our 1.75" Hook End with Keeper Ratchet is equipped with a safety Snap Hook design for added security. Using this buckle in place of a Ratchet Strap’s Fixed End saves space for easier maneuvering, anchoring, and tensioning.
